PAN-CAUCASIAN YOUTH ORCHESTRA
The Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra has been created in 2019, its Music Director is Maestro Gianandrea Noseda. After its first residency at the Tsinandali Festival 2019, there has been a Covid-caused break of two years. In 2022, the PCYO will be created again!
Applications are open for young musicians aged 18 to 28 from the following countries of the Caucasus region: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Ukraine.
They should bring high level skills on their instrument as well as some experience in orchestra playing. Selected musicians will be invited to perform during 4 weeks in an intense orchestra training program, followed by 4 concerts at the Tsinandali Festival led by world renown conductors. This year, live auditions will take place only in Tbilisi on May 24 and 25, 2022. Online auditions will be held on May 31 and June 1. (live auditions in Vienna are possible upon personal email to: email@example.com)

For all instruments except timpani and percussion:
• 2 pieces of your choice (or movements of pieces) of different character and period, for a total of about 10 minutes.
• Orchestral excerpts, scores available for download on the Website
• Sight reading
At least one of the pieces should be accompanied by piano (except for harp players).
For violin, viola and cello: one of 2 pieces has to be a movement from a Bach solo work.
For woodwind instruments, it is possible to play 1 of the pieces on an additional instrument (Piccolo, English Horn, Eb clarinet, Bass clarinet, Contrabassoon).
