Short version
Daylight Design Munich is looking for a visual designer who will get to work on projects that delight users (and colleagues) with high quality visuals and compelling stories that inspire, engage and excite them.

What will you do?
The role is a nice mix of design for interaction (UI/UX, design systems) and some design for communication (brand, print, and visual storytelling). Activities include:
Crafting interfaces for consumer (for profit and non-profit clients) and business applications
Creating design systems – typography, color, icons, grid systems, etc.
Tell engaging stories of people, projects and brands through compelling graphics, illustrations, infographics
Collaborate and work seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of interaction designers, design researchers, project managers to align on objectives and goals and iteratively develop the best solutions
Work on a variety of projects – from broad, explorative prompts to occasionally pixel perfect for shipping
Create concepts that really push the bar in terms of quality
Go out in the field to build empathy with real users and to document research learnings for analysis
Collaborate with teams from our other offices in San Francisco and Seoul and perhaps even travel to these locations if/when project demands
Presenting work back to clients collaborating directly with clients

We’re looking for someone with:
Great visual intuition and a high level of visual/graphic design craft
A degree in either graphic design, visual design or interaction design
The ability to apply their skills broadly
Enough technical understanding and/or curiosity to learn to create interactive digital prototypes using Figma, Protopie, etc.
2+ years of agency/freelance/in-house experience or a talented recent graduate in graphic design/communication design/interaction design
Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients to solve problems
Willingness to push beyond the obvious solution to find the best one
Ideally experience in shipping products
Understanding of and ideally experience in design thinking (human-centered design) methodology
Eagerness to learn from a breadth of design talents, experiences and backgrounds working on problems with real impact
Familiarity with collaborative design and prototyping software (e.g. Figma, Framer, etc.)
Fluent English skills
German language skills a significant bonus
