Dear Students,
Dear University members,
Having already reached the middle of this fall semester, the ZHdK’s Student Organisation VERSO is getting in touch with you again. It has been a bit quiet around us lately, but we have been actively involved in ZHdK’s university life through poster campaigns, a well-attended general assembly and our first «Stammtisch» since the beginning of the pandemic. On top of that, we had the pleasure of welcoming the first semester students among you to the university.
Quietly, over the summer and fall, we have not only developed a student support guide but also conducted a peer review of VERSO by VSUZH. There has also been diligent work on restructuring VERSO and its organisational and qualitative development. Big changes are on our agenda, and we are very happy to be finally able to give you a first glimpse of them in this Putschblatt. So well, what can we say, we are excited, are you?
Here's to a great last month in 2021!

VERSO GENERAL ASSEMBLY
On October 28 of 2021, for the first time in English, the VERSO General Assembly took place in a big round. "Wanted: new Rektor:in" was the main topic of the evening, along with the university's internal feedback culture.
The former was heavily discussed after a bureaucratic part, which among other things included the acceptance of the annual budget. Several groups created profiles of their perfect candidates for a fictitious election of the rector and presented them to the assembly. Each candidate had to answer questions from the audience.
What goals do they bring to the ZHdK? What is their attitude towards Major_minor and are any of them frauds?
ELECTIONS 2022
For the first time in its history, VERSO will hold large-scale university-wide elections in the upcoming spring semester of 2022. Various offices and seats of VERSO student representatives at university- and departmental level will be advertised. All ZHdK students can run and vote in their department. More details, like the election rules, some cool election gifts or how to run for a seat, will be announced no later than in the new year. Stay tuned!
STAMMTISCH
On October 10, 2021, it was finally time for the first VERSO regulars' table in a year. With flowers and yellow light, motivated people were gathering in the entrance hall and sold cheap beer, mate, wine and last but not least stale sparkling water. If we disregard minor mishaps, such as power outages created by us, and we are happy to do so, it was a complete success!
After all, it was the first VERSO Stammtisch (we might reconsider its name) for a long time. Glad that all who were there were there, glad that the sandwiches were also eaten cold and glad that all who were not there will come next time. In summary: nice, nice, nice.
*Due to the current situation, the Stammtisch has to be cancelled until further notice. We will inform you via E-mail and Instagram, as soon as we know more about the next dates. We are already looking forward to having a drink and meeting you all again soon.*
VERSO ON INSTAGRAM
Have you missed the enrollments for the Z-Tech classes again? Or when exactly was the VERSO general meeting? From now on, we will be much more active on Instagram and want to use the platform to be more accessible for ZHdK students. @verso_zhdk regularly provides you with information about studying at ZHdK, important business, VERSO's events & offerings, and life at Gessnerallee and Toni.
Currently, our story (or story highlights) is currently featuring a survey regarding dining and cooking options at Toni and Gessnerallee. We are curious about your feedback and cannot wait to interact with you!
SEMESTER COUNCIL 19
In the Semester Council of October 14, the six delegated students of each department were meeting.
In this larger gathering, not only was the exchange of all student assemblies maintained, but also the strategy of the Elections 2022 project was analyzed, discussed, and decided upon.
The main part of this evening, however, was an input and subsequent discussion on "How to Know What the Crowd Feels". Our guest was Hanja Blendin, who is employed at ZHdK in the area of accreditation and quality development. In her input, she gave the Semester Council an understanding of the difficulties and opportunities that a survey can bring.
CHANGES IN THE STUDENT COUNCIL
Just before the end of the spring semester Mathis Ebner (DDE) left us. In his place, the student assembly of the DDE (StV DDE) has now elected Luka Vego.
Auch im Departement Musik hat sich eine Rochade ergeben, die Studierendenversammlung wählte zum Semesterbeginn neu Leo Brennauer in den Studierendenrat. Leo tritt an die Stelle von Iker Sáez Liébana.
VERSO thanks Iker and Mathis for their work and welcomes Luka and Leo!
