Dear all!
It’s almost time again: The Upcoming Filmmakers Film Festival will take place on the 28th of September at the Bourbaki Cinema in Lucerne!
Once again, we will be presenting short films of various genres by young filmmakers from Switzerland in several film blocks. As part of our competition, three of these films will then be awarded the Lucerne Film Prize, and we will also be handing out all kinds of special prizes in various categories, including, for example, an audience award. All filmmakers under the age of 20 will also automatically be nominated for the Lucerne Newcomer Film Award.
In total, we award prize money totaling over CHF 10,000 to the winners! On the day of the event, we will also organise a panel discussion on a current topic whilst also offering our participants a space in which they get to meet other filmmakers.
We are therefore looking for current Swiss short film productions by young filmmakers under 30 years of age until the 9th of June 2024!
The admission criteria at a glance:
– Participants must not be older than 30 when the film is completed
– The film length must not exceed 25 minutes
– The submitted films must have been completed after the 1st of January 2023
– The submitted films must have been produced in Switzerland or, if produced abroad, at least one of the leading roles (director, screenplay, camera) must be held by a Swiss filmmaker / a filmmaker based in Switzerland
Films can be submitted on Filmfreeway ( find QR Code on Flyer).
Kind regards
