ROLE DESCRIPTION
• As an Application Design intern in our corporate Human Resources Department, you will have an opportunity to learn and apply user-centric and iterative application design as part of the HR Organizational Effectiveness Department.
• You will play a critical role in designing and implementing applications for the HR Department, which will be used by both your colleagues and external vendors.
• This internship’s duration is six months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with your colleagues in the HR Department and potential external users to design and implement applications which will be used to improve communication and efficiency.
• Test and provide feedback regarding new developments in the HR Department, with a focus on the user’s experience and ease of use.
• Continuously learn and research to improve your knowledge and understanding of Microsoft PowerApps and UX Design.
• Create diagrams on Visio to visualize the company’s processes and identify opportunities for improvement
• Ensure that all applications designed by the HR Department are in line with Viking’s design and branding standards.
• Coordinate and document feedback from project stakeholders and find an ideal method for implementing that feedback.
• Act as first-level support for HR designed applications, developing and implementing improvements when possible.
• Support the Organizational Effectiveness Department in various digital, change management, and process development projects.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• You are a senior year student or recent graduate of a Master’s or Bachelor’s program with a focus on UX, Digital Design or a related field. Demonstrable experience in Application / UX Development or Design can be accepted in lieu of a formal degree.
• You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• Previous experience in Microsoft Power Platform, especially PowerApps, and Microsoft Visio is an advantage.
• You have a proactive and solution-oriented personality, who is eager to improve the user’s experience and quality of life.
• You are open to constructive feedback and have a solid understanding of how to apply that feedback to your work.
