For some time now, VERSO has been preoccupied with the stress levels and workload of students, with special attention to how the major-minor study model affects daily student life. In the last months, we have noticed increasing feedback from students that have had a particularly hard time with the study conditions at the ZHdK. This is why we occupied ourselves with these topics during the big Semester council meeting on March 12th, organised a workshop on the topic, and put together a report. If you have any additions or further input - contact us! We will continue gathering testimonies!

On March 12th 2026, a workshop on the topic "Stress and Burnout during Studies" took place as part of the Semester countil meeting of the Student council. Student representatives from all five departments of the ZHdK took part. The workshop was organised and led by the Co-Chair of the Semester council. With ca. 30 members, the Semester council is the largest council of VERSO. The report contributes to the ZHdK's institutional practice of quality control, as well as to the currently-ongoing examination concerning successfully implementing the major-minor model of study.
